The H.O.M.E Initiative
In serving the communities of Garland, Rowlett & Sachse, in partnership with the local school district, we realized there was a great need that was not being addresses.
In any given school year, there are about 1000 children identified with no permanent residence. This means the family is living with a relative, in a car or motel or is on the street at the moment.
We also realized that some of these families just needed a partner to help them with resources, growth opportunities and to walk beside them and encourage them along the way.
This is our HOME Initiative - Helping Others thru Mutual Efforts!
We have walked with 6 families since 2019 and all 6 are thriving and helping others now!
We are accepting applications for our next HOME family.
There is opportunity for community support in the following areas:
Furnishing for their new home
Financial budgeting and training
Resources for children and youth
Monetary Donations to accomplish some of these things, including deposits on home & utilities.
If you are interested in helping with this Initiative, please email us HERE and let us know how you are willing to help.
